We are absolutely blown away, to have been awarded gold for every single one of our venues this year at the ‘Best Bar None’ awards!
The ‘Best Bar None’ awards is a unique national accreditation and award scheme that aims to raise standards at licensed premises.
Scotch & Rye, Bar One, The Keg and Dow’s Bar & Bistro were all awarded gold in recognition of the quality of experience and focus on safety and customer care.
Not only that, but the real icing on the cake, was our very own Dow’s Bar & Bistro picking up the Heart of the Community Award! This is especially close to our heart as Dow’s has always been a community led venue, and this is the type or recognition that makes all the hard work worthwhile! We will be facing off against some other top community focussed premises later in the year at the national awards!
The award ceremony, which took place in Inverness on 7th January 2019, saw bars that undertake positive management practices in support of a great and safe night out recognised with a bronze, silver or gold award.
This includes efforts around the prevention of crime and disorder, and ensuring the safety of the Inverness community, including visitors to the city and staff working in the venues.
Commenting on the awards, Scott Murray, managing director of Cru Holdings, said:
“For each of our venues in Inverness to be awarded gold at the 2019 Best Bar None Awards is great news.
“It shows our hard work in creating venues that are safe, while still being fun and providing a great experience for customers, has paid off.
“To top that off, Dow’s Bar & Bistro won the Heart of the Community Award, which reflects the friendly, community venue we have been creating there.
“Receiving the awards is a great start to 2019 and we now aim to build on this throughout the year and continue to provide experiences customers love.”
