Cru Holdings, a leading hospitality and travel company in the Highlands of Scotland recognised its top talent at a recent lavish awards doo at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.

Around 150 staff and guests joined sponsors and the executive team for a glitzy white-themed party at the iconic Highland hotel, where 19 individual and team award categories were recognised following a three-course dinner and wine.

Hosted by North Highland Events Liam Christie, the entertainment that followed included dancers, DJ, Drag act and live music late into the evening where the guests were encouraged to let their hair down, relax, and enjoy their ‘unique way of saying thanks for all of your hard work over the year’

Managing Director, Scott Murray said “It has been an incredibly tough couple of years for both hospitality and travel, and these annual events are a great way of saying thank you. We very much wanted to ensure that this year was 100% focussed on the people within our business, and the usual corporate summaries and presentations were replaced by energetic performances, great food, and little surprises along the way.”

Designed to emulate an Ibiza beach club, the venue was dressed exclusively in white and silver, with beach balls, podium dancers, Balearic DJ, a violinist and even a beach volleyball court.  Formalwear was discouraged in place of jeans and t-shirts or anything comfortable or totally outrageous.

“It’s the most elaborate event we have thrown to date since the company started some 15 years ago and was a success in every way. It’s not something that anyone will forget for some time, and we hope can go just a little way to reassuring our teams how central they are to our success.”

Awards included: Business of the Year; employee of the Year for each business; Manager of the Year, as well as Team of the Year; rising star; and biggest contribution to the company.

10 of the lucky award winners will join the executive team in Turkey this March for a 4-day, 5-star all inclusive retreat where they will experience some of the best hospitality that the Turkish Riviera has to offer.
